RUPERT — A 38-year-old Pawlet man was charged with his second DUI, as well as negligent operation, after a crash which took place back in September.
Police say John Varner is now facing charges relating to a crash that took place in Rupert on September 1.
Police responded to the single-vehicle crash with injuries on Vermont Route 30.
According to the report, Varner was headed south when his vehicle drove off the west shoulder of the roadway and came to a position of uncontrolled rest after colliding with a tree.
Police say Varner sustained a significant injury to his leg during the crash.
He was transported to Albany Medical Center via Life Net.
After the completion of the investigation, police announced today that Varner was cited to appear in court on November 18 to answer to the charges.
