Single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 30, Poultney

POULTNEY — A 30-year-old man from New York was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Poultney yesterday.

Police were notified of the crash on Vermont Route 30 at around 1:30 a.m.

According to the report, Adam Wells, of Granville, NY, was headed north when he looked away from the road to reach for a bottle of water and failed to maintain his lane.

He traveled several hundred feet along the ditch of the road and hit several telephone poles and trees before coming to rest.

Warner’s Autobody removed the vehicle from the road.
State Police were assisted by Poultney Rescue and the Poultney Volunteer Fire Department.
