Three-vehicle crash with injury in Rutland

RUTLAND — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash in Rutland on Friday.

The crash took place at the intersection of Killington Avenue and Victoria Drive at around 4:05 p.m.

According to the report, William Vasiluth, 65, of Rutland, was headed west on Killington Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle in an attempt to avoid rear-ending a vehicle driven by Helen Getty, 39, of Rutland.

Vasiluth steered around Getty’s vehicle, crashing head-on into a vehicle driven by Connor Quigley, 29, of Rutland, and sideswiping Getty.

Police say both Vasiluth and Quigley’s vehicle were totaled.

Getty’s vehicle was driven away from the scene.

Neither Quigley nor Getty, were injured in the crash.

Police say Vasiluth was injured as a result of the crash and was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.

State Police were assisted at the scene by Rutland Town Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service.
