Two-vehicle crash on US Route 4, Killington

KILLINGTON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Killington this morning.

The crash took place on US Route 4, near Pico Mountain Ski Resort at around 7:44 a.m.

Police say, Scott Patch, 31, of Rutland, and John Arnold, 63, of Portland, Maine, were both headed east.

Police say Patch rear-ended Arnold’s vehicle.

Patch’s vehicle sustained significant damage and Arnold was transported by Regional Ambulance Service.

According to the report, “limited visibility of the road caused by the sun is a contributing circumstance of the crash.”

State Police were assisted on scene by Killington First Response, Killington Fire Department, and Regional Ambulance Service.

Patch’s car was towed by Hop-To-It Towing.
