Two-vehicle crash with injuries, Killington

KILLINGTON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Killington this morning.

The crash took place at the intersection of US Route 4 and East Mountain Road at around 9:27 a.m.

Burton Clocksin, 22, of Alton Bay, New Hampshire, was headed west on US Route 4, intending to turn left onto East Mountain Road.

Barbara Rakow, 50, of Rutland, was headed east on US Route 4.

Police say Clocksin turned left when Rakow had the right of way.

As a result, Rakow hit Clocksin causing significant damage to both vehicles.

Rakow was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center for injuries, police say.

A passenger in Clocksin’s vehicle suffered a hand injury.

State Police were assisted on scene by Killington Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service.

Boondock Auto removed both vehicles from the roadway.
