Two-vehicle crash with injury, Killington

KILLINGTON — A driver was injured during a crash in Killington this afternoon.

Police were notified of a two-vehicle crash with an injury near the Killington Grand, at around 2:30 p.m.

According to the report, prior to the crash Robert Cummings, 55, of Killington, was headed east on East Mountain Road intending to turn left into a parking lot, as Laura Bovaconti, 50, of Marlborough, MA, was traveling west.

Cummings turned left, crossing into the oncoming lane of travel and striking Bovaconti and causing significant damage to both vehicles.

Police say Bovaconti suffered an injury to her thumb and knee.

State Police were assisted by Killington Rescue and Killington Fire Department.

Both vehicles were removed by Killington Auto.
