Driver flees scene after two-vehicle crash on VT Route 100, Waterbury

WATERBURY — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Waterbury yesterday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 100 near the Interstate 89 on-ramp at around 9:30 a.m.

One of the drivers, Mark Morse, 67, of Duxbury, reported that he was headed north when another vehicle passed him on the right and then slammed on their breaks, causing him to crash into the rear of the vehicle.

He also reported that the other driver did not stop, and left the scene headed north on Interstate 89.

Police say Morse was not injured during the crash.

He identified the other vehicle as a maroon or grey mid-sized SUV similar to a RAV4.
