Man charged with leaving scene of an accident in Cabot that caused power outage

CABOT — A 33-year-old man from Walden was charged for leaving the scene of an accident in Cabot on July 22.

Police say they were notified that a vehicle hit a telephone pole and continued driving at around 7:32 p.m.

The crash had caused a power outage to one home in the area.

Following an investigation, police located the vehicle at a residence in Cabot.

Police identified the driver as James T. Dunlap, who was issued a criminal citation to appear at the court in September to answer to the charge.
