BERLIN — A 58-year-old Middlesex man was arrested on an active warrant and criminal DLS following an incident in Berlin yesterday.

State Police say they initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. Route 302 at around 8:57 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Peter D. James.

Police say his operator’s license was under criminal suspension and he had an active warrant for his arrest for failure to appear on a prior charge of driving under the influence.

Police say James was taken into custody and transported to the Barre City Police Department where he was lodged on the outstanding warrant.

Additionally, he was issued a citation to appear in court on March 12 to answer to the charge of driving with a criminally suspended license.
