Plainfield man charged after deadly crash in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD — A 25-year-old woman from Plainfield has died following a DUI crash in Marshfield back in September, and the driver is now facing charges.

The crash took place on September 30, on Calais Road.

The passenger inside the vehicle, Tacoma E. Cheney, was flown by helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment.

On October 7, Cheney passed away as a result of the injuries she sustained during the crash.

Following an investigation, police say that Dillion S. Franks, 29, of Plainfield, was under the influence of alcohol.

Franks pled not guilty to a felony count of driving under the influence with death resulting and a felony count of driving faster than the legal limit with death resulting.

If convicted he faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
