Police: Waterbury man charged after threatening people at gas station with a bat

WATERBURY — A 55-year-old man was charged with aggravated disorderly conduct and criminal threatening in Waterbury yesterday.

Police reported that a man was threatening patrons with a bat at Billings Mobil, located at 158 Waterbury Stowe Road, at around 7:08 p.m.

Police say they identified the man as Ray Plunkett, of Waterbury.

Plunkett was located at his home later that evening.

He was cited to appear in court on January 9 to answer the above charges and released.
