WATERBURY — Police say a 49-year-old man from Waterbury will face charges for forgery.

The investigation followed a complaint police received regarding a stolen checkbook from a 69-year-old man from Waterbury.

According to the report, Todd M. Mailhoit stole checks from the victim at their shared home.

Police say Mailhoit forged several of these checks and on multiple occasions withdrew money from the victim’s account without permission.
